Recently the watchmaking company Artya headed by Yvan Arpa has presented a very unusual timepiece. The new horological creation of he famous watchmaker doesn’t boast lots of precious stones or metals – vice versa it is “decorated” with something absolutely opposite. The new Artya Coprolite watch features the dial showing the fossil excrements of a dinosaur – the so called coprolite.
The idea of the watch without hour markers is in full compliance with Yvan Arpa’s innovative philosophy. The new timepiece is powered by a self-winding movement that can be seen trough a transparent back case. The watch is accommodated by a steel or bronze case. The rough case of the Artya Coprolite was created on the premises of the Guer Man in Ticino by Manuel Zanetti.
The original watch is a certified chronometer featuring water resistance of 30 meters. The watch is secured on the wrist with a toad leather strap. The price of the novelty is about $11,290.
