The Swiss designer Steven Gotz is proud to present his horological creation – the Watch3, a timepiece that introduces an innovative method of time-indicating. Together with the innovative character of timekeeping the new watch is notable for interesting minimalist and stylish design.

The zest of the timepiece is that the hour numerals are printed on the underside of the sapphire crystal. They remain invisible most of the time. The numeral for the current hour becomes visible only when the black hour hand passes under it as the numerals are white over a white dial. In spite of the invisibility of numerals the watch offers perfect readability. The dial is coated with Superluminova and glows in the dark. For better readability the face of the Watch3 is completed with black-on-white indices and a bright red minute hand.
Although the case design may seem a little austere it is sure to bring this Swiss-made watch huge success. The timepiece boasts a case back engraved in a playful manner. The case measures 38 mm in diameter and is made of stainless steel. Inside the watch there is a high quality reliable ETA quartz movement.

The handcuffs-watch has become one concept that demonstrates the original approach to the creation of this useful accessory. As we all know handcuffs are used by police all over the world to limit the freedom of people that committed some crime. However, the designer Luis Berumen believes that the handcuffs can not only limit one’s freedom but also be useful in an absolutely different way. For example, the Zero Point Zero watch that looks like handcuffs perfectly execute the function of timekeeping. Each of the parts of the unusual handcuffs has a display. One display shows the hours while the other indicates the minutes. To tell the time the owner of this original timepiece has to look at the displays in turn. It is difficult to identify the ides that inspired the designer to create such a timepiece – probably he wanted to “chain” the time or vice versa to accentuate the senselessness of control over the time.
Anyway the Zero Point Zero timepiece looks really very original and stylish. It can serve as a perfect gift for somebody who loves original things and is not afraid to stand out of the crowd.

Surely the Great Barrier Reef is known even by those who never liked the lessons of geography at school. This wonder of nature is the world largest reef system consisting of more than 2900 independent reefs and 900 islands. The Great Barrier Reef is located in the Coral Sea near Australia and occupies the territory of about 344,400 square km.
Unfortunately today the unique system of reefs suffers from a number of serious problems – species extinction and water pollution. But the customers of the renowned watchmaking brand Oris have a chance to help the AMCS (Australian Marine Conservation Society) to protect and preserve the unique flora and fauna of the Great Barrier Reef. The brand has recently presented a limited edition collection of timepieces – Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition – and claimed that all the proceeds will be transferred to the account of the AMCS.
The novelty looks really great. The ultramarine dial makes a beautiful contrast to the luminescent indices and central hours and minutes hands of bright orange. Between 2 and 5 o’clock there is the seconds subdial with two hands one of which is covered with the luminescent treatment. The date aperture is placed at 6 o’clock. The back case of the 47-mm case crafted from the stainless steel is decorated with the attractive logo of the AMCS.
The watch is produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces – the number symbolizes the impressive level of water resistance of the new watch.

The peculiarity of the watch is an original system of time indicating. The tiny screen (40 mm) has no numerals. Instead it shows LED rings – an outer and an inner – and a green hand-indicator. The orange ring serves for the hours indication and the blue one – for the indication of minutes.
The weight of the new TokyoFlash watch is only 58 grams. Owing to constant lights emitted by the LEDs, the watch looks as an unusual bright and eye-catching accessory. To see the time one should press a special button. The timepiece is equipped with a built-in battery that is recharged via USB. It takes 3-5 hours to recharge the battery, and after that the timepiece will work for a month.

The watchmaking brand Luminox makes no exception. Not long ago the company together with its ambassador, the well-known Brazilian racer and Indy Racing League member Tony Kanaan, created and presented the new timepiece - Chronograph Kanaan IRL.
The Luminox novelty will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. The watch features the racer’s favourite colours – blue and orange. The case of the timepiece measures 44 mm in diameter. Recently the watchmaking brand Fortis has become the partner of the outstanding project “Mars-500”, which is a simulation of a manned flight to Mars. Within the framework of the project the “astronauts” undergo 14-days, 105-days and 520-days isolation in a special room whose conditions are the same with those on board the spacecraft that has flown to Mars. This manned expedition, if possible, would be greatly different from a usual long term flight because of the distance that wouldn’t allow supplying the astronauts with food and water and helping them to solve off-optimum situations.
The project “Mars-500” helps the scientists to understand how man is going to solve different off-optimum situations during the flight owing to various experiments. Two stages of the project are already behind and now it is time for the longest phase of the project – the 520-days isolation.
The official partner of the project – the watchmaking brand Fortis – has produced a limited edition collection of watches dedicated to the project - В-42 Mars 500. The timepiece is housed by a 42-mm titanium case covered with black PVD-treatment. Both the front an back cases are protected with sapphire crystal. The timepiece is powered with an ETA 2836 movement providing 42 hours of power reserve.
The watch features a logo of the project, the logo of the “Roscosmos” company and the logo of Fortis. The designers and engineers from Fortis have been working on creation of a watch for astronauts since the 1990s. The special models by Fortis are resistant to various extreme temperature and atmospheric conditions. Since 1994 the Fortis Chronograph has been tested on board the space station.

The new horological creation of he famous watchmaker doesn’t boast lots of precious stones or metals – vice versa it is “decorated” with something absolutely opposite. The new Artya Coprolite watch features the dial showing the fossil excrements of a dinosaur – the so called coprolite.
The idea of the watch without hour markers is in full compliance with Yvan Arpa’s innovative philosophy. The new timepiece is powered by a self-winding movement that can be seen trough a transparent back case. The watch is accommodated by a steel or bronze case. The rough case of the Artya Coprolite was created on the premises of the Guer Man in Ticino by Manuel Zanetti.
